How do Carbon Dioxide extinguishers work?
CO2 extinguishers are filled with carbon dioxide gas under extreme pressure. This pressure may be so great that when you use the extinguishers, dry ice may shoot out the horn. CO2 displaces the oxygen that a fire needs to be viable.
