The role

Due to expansion we are seeking a full-time Accounting professional to serve as the Company Accountant for our organisation.

The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, high growth company where day to day schedules can suddenly change due to the nature of the day-to-day business.

This role is for someone who enjoys a challenge and who has experience managing a team whilst reporting directly to Managing Director. You will also be managing our team of accountants in the Phillipines via our Online portal.

Duties & responsibilities 

The Accountant Position is a key resource in the day to day running of the business including:

• Manage the Preparation/Audit oversee accounts payable/receivables, cash disbursements, payroll and
• Manage Bank and credit card reconciliations teams.
• Preparation/Auditing End of Month processes
• Manage the Overseeing the renewal/lodgement of other company liabilities such as Insurances, Payroll Tax, Long Service Leave returns
• Auditing of Australian Weekly/Fortnightly Payroll
• Manage the preparation of annual operating budgeting and forecasting.
• Management of Financial Team
• Complete other projects as required.
• Current systems in use are Xero; Salarium; MYOB; Zoho and Simpro and well as Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word etc

•  A part of this role involves undertaking inhouse Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.

Skills & requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance including Licence for Australian ATO Lodgements
• Minimum of 4 years accounting experience in Commercially based environment
• Minimum of 4 years experience preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, payment summaries, payroll tax and FBT
• Lodgement of company ASIC requirements
• Auditing of Financial Reporting for Board of Directors
• Team leadership experience
• Previous experience using accounting web-based software packages
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels.
• ATO registered to submit company records
